Two Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders arrested by West Bengal Police with drugs worth lakhs in  Kolkata.

West Bengal Police arrested BJYM leaders Pamela Goswami and Prabir De arrested on Friday from New Alipore in Kolkata with 100 grams of cocaine. The value of the cocaine is being pegged in lakhs of rupees.

Local media reports said Pamela was allegedly caught with cocaine in a car in which she was travelling. The duo will be produced before a court on Saturday and police will seek their custody. The police had suspected that Pamela was involved in the purchase of narcotics and had been observing her movements for some time.

The BJP said it suspected that Goswami was being framed, but added that if she is found guilty, the law should take its course. West Bengal BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said, "I do not know whether this is planted. The law will take its own course but was the cocaine put in the car by someone? The model code of conduct is yet to come into effect and the police is still under the state government. So, anything can be possible."
