Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha is leading by a margin of 6,486 votes against his nearest Congress rival Gopal Prasad Sahu from Hazaribagh parliamentary consistency seat according to the trends.

BJP's incumbent MP Vishnu Dayal Ram is ahead by 9,450 votes against his nearest RJD rival Ghuran Ram in Palamau (SC) after the third round counting.

In Khunti, Congress nominee Kali Charan Munda is leading against his nearest BJP rival and former chief minister Arjun Munda by just 1,113 votes. Annapurna Devi from the BJP is leading by 8,031 votes against her nearest JVM (P) nominee and former chief minister Babulal Marandi.

BJP’s Bidyut Baran Mahato is leading against his nearest JMM rival Champai Soren by over 6,600 votes in the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.

The JMM patriarch Shibu Soren, eight-time Dumka MP, is trailing by over 21,000 votes after the third phase of counting. Congress nominee Geeta Koda has reportedly defeated state BJP president Laxman Giluafrom from tribal-dominated Singhbhum constituency.

Counting for the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state is underway across 24 districts amid tight security. The vote counting process and announcement of results, however, are likely to be delayed by several hours this time as the outcomes of five assembly segments per Lok Sabha constituency will be matched with VVPAT slips, a poll board release mentioned on Wednesday (May 21), citing Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) L Khiangte.

Jharkhand voted in the last four phases of Lok Sabha polls on April 29, May 6, 12 and 19.
