Kolkata: On Saturday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of playing appeasement politics in the state. Vijayvargiya said that if Banerjee is not ousted from the state, then the situation in the state will become like Jammu and Kashmir.

To be noted that Vijayvargiya told reporters during the roadshow in Howrah, “If Mamata ji stays, Islamic State (ISIS) can enter West Bengal anytime. It'll become like J&K. It is because of her appeasement politics that people related to terror activities have made their base in the border-states & ISIS threat is proof of that.” He also exuded confidence that the saffron party will the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
