Here are some of the many explanations for why BLACKPINK's comeback has been a success. According to the most recent Billboard charts, the title tune, "Shut Down," debuted at an excellent number on the Hot100 chart for the week of October 1. It entered the list at No. 25 and joined their unreleased song "Pink Venom," which has been at No. 5 for the past 5 weeks. This time, it rose to No. 57.

Among other things, the song has succeeded in breaking the previous record set by "Pink Venom" for K-pop songs to concurrently rank No. 1 on both lists in 2022 set by Billboard's Global 200 and Global Excl. Additionally, "Shut Down" placed first on the global digital song sales chart.

It was reported earlier this week that the girl group's first single, "Born Pink," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list, making them the first female K-pop act to date to accomplish the accomplishment and the first all-female group since 2008. Additionally, the album has been dominating the rankings for Tastemaker Albums, Top Current Album Sales, and Top Album Sales.

With so many accomplishments, it was only expected that BLACKPINK, who was No. 1 on the Artist 100 chart for the second time, would be the most anticipated act of the week. As might be anticipated from one of the most well-known musical bands in the world, the quartet is shattering and setting new records.
