Media reports revealed that an Afghan professor at Alberoni University in Kapisa province claimed that his colleagues have accused him of blasphemy.

One of the professors at Alberoni University, Yaqub Yasna, alleged that the accusers are presently instructors in the colleges of religious studies, agriculture, and education at Alberoni University. Yasna claimed on Facebook that he had attacked ethnic politics in Afghanistan, but a religious education professor and other professors accused him of being irreligious.

The university professor said that he has been accused of blasphemy by his colleagues and students, but that he has offended no faith. After the Taliban takeover on August 15, last year, 229 university instructors from Afghanistan's top three institutions departed the country. The Taliban and Albironi University officials have yet to react on the matter.
