Ludhiana, On Monday, in a tragic incident, a high intensity blast occurred at Vishal Paper Mill on Dhuri Road of Malerkotla and in the blast three people died and nineteen were injured.

Seven labourers who were critically injured were referred to hospitals in Patiala and Ludhiana. Rest were admitted at Civil Hospital, Malerkotla.

According to eye witnesses, a paper dryer exploded at around 10 am when work had just started inside the mill.

The three deceased were identified as Manu Kumar, Narinder Kumar and Prem Kumar.

According to the police, none of the victims are ready to record the statements against the factory owner and thus no FIR was registered at the time of writing.
