Guwahati: These days preparations are going on on Republic Day and security has been tightened. In the midst of this, a blast in the Charaidev district of Assam caused a stir in the entire district. There were no casualties in the blast on Monday night, but some shops were completely destroyed. The blast occurred in the Sonari area of Upper Assam's Charaidev district at around 11 pm on Monday night. Many shops have been damaged due to this explosion.

After the late night blast, senior police officers, army officers of the area reached the spot and the entire area was cordoned off. SP Anand Mishra of Charaidev district says on this blast that the samples have been taken from the blast site by the police and they have been sent for investigation. Giving information about the case, SP Anand Mishra said that, 'Police and army officers had gone to the spot as soon as the news of the blast was received. The Army Dog Squad has started investigation here. Some samples have been collected, based on which the investigation will be carried forward.
