Unnao: A heavy accident occurred in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. A tank of Hindustan Petroleum Plant located in the Dahi Chowki area of Kotwali Unnao has exploded after a massive blast on Thursday. After this accident, there was chaos in the area. Many fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot upon receiving information about the accident. Firemen are trying to overcome the situation.

Police and administration are evacuating the surrounding villages due to the possibility of any untoward incident. It is being told that this explosion occurred due to leakage of the tank of Hindustan Petroleum Plant. After getting the information of the accident, several vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and started relief and rescue work.

After the accident, the movement of vehicles and common people in the vicinity of the plant has been completely stopped. An area of 4-5 km has been alerted around the plant. Information of the injured is not available yet due to the stoppage of traffic. At this time, an effort is underway to prevent leakage within the plant. Also, the surrounding area is being evacuated as a precaution.
