On January 10, today, 7 persons including two firefighters were injured in a blast after a gas cylinder fire in a shop in Thane city of Maharashtra. Santosh Kadam, head of the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane's municipal body, said that a fire broke out in the auto parts shop in the Wagle Estate area at 11 a.m. on Saturday night and the fire also took two nearby houses to their grip.

The official said that after the incident was reported, two fire tenders were sent to the spot and a team of RDMC also arrived there. In this regard, he said that when the fire was being tried, seven people were injured in the incident when the cylinder exploded. He said, two firefighters, are also involved in the wounds.

He said the injured have been admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Continuing his point, the officer said that the shop has been completely buried by the fire. According to information received, the fire was controlled till 2.30 pm. But the reasons for the fire have not been ascertained so far, and the police personnel is still working to ascertain the cause.
