The much-awaited trailer of the Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde, was unveiled this Thursday by Netflix. The two-minute clip featured Armas in her fantastic Monroe disguise ready to tell the story behind Hollywood's most iconic diva. Directed by Andrew Dominik, the film showcases the life of Monroe right from the beginning of her career.
The film depicts the lesser-known facets of the life of Hollywood’s most wanted Bombshell, Marilyn Monroe. The biopic will take a dive into various aspects of Monroe’s life including her romantic life and her childhood when she was Norma Jean. The role is played by Ana de Armas and she did perfect justice to the Diva and her life. Alongside Armas, the film casts, Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams.
The official synopsis for the film reads, "Discover a life both known and unknown in this boldly imaginative film from Director Andrew Dominik that explores the complicated life of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe." Ana De Armas looks like a spitting image of Marilyn Monroe, with Twitter users saying that she is the “perfect casting” for the role.
The short clip of the trailer included the famous flying skirt scene, and some moments from her brief marriage with Artur Miller. The trailer alone gave the viewers a retro vibe, it also included the peak of Monroe’s career as the phrase "Watched by all, seen by none," comes up on the screen.
