Equipment

Bluedio T6S headphones come in a solid black box. On its front side is a photo of the product, and behind it are technical specifications and basic functions.

The gadget is located on a black plastic pallet, covered with a transparent case on top. The packaging is quite dense, it doesn’t dangle anything inside, so you shouldn’t worry about the safety of the headphones during transportation.

In addition to the Bluedio T6S, the package also includes a soft bag for carrying, a charging cable and instructions in several languages, including Russian. Interestingly, the headphones can be connected to the sound source using a special cable, but for some reason, it is not included. It seems to be a trifle but leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

Appearance and ergonomics

The main problem of inexpensive Chinese full-size headphones - the fragility of the design, because of what they quickly break. This does not apply to the Bluedio T6S, because the most vulnerable spots - the headband and the swivel mechanism of the cups - are made of metal. This inspires confidence and allows you to hope that the device will last a long time.

The spring-mounted headband of the headphones tightly presses the cups to the head, ensuring a reliable fit and good sound insulation. Due to the pleasant shell of synthetic leather, under which soft foam pads are hidden, no discomfort is felt even after prolonged wear.

The inside of the cup is tightened with a grid, in the center of which you can see the eye of the infrared sensor. It is he who is responsible for automatically stopping playback when removing headphones.

On the side of the right earpiece are the main controls. These are the power button, the talker microphone, the noise canceling mode switch and the charging jack. There is no volume control or track switching buttons in the Bluedio T6S.

Headphone cups are made of plastic. Due to the special design of the mount, they can rotate around its axis by 90 °. The outer surface of the cups has a coating slightly resembling metal, but it is also plastic. At our disposal was a black model, for sale, there are also options with red and yellow accents.

In general, the quality of materials and assembly produces only a positive impression. Bluedio T6S have a good design, which seems to be able to withstand long-term operation in a variety of conditions. Headphones are pleasant to handle, they sit comfortably on the head and look quite modern.

Particularly impressive is the automatic playback control function when the gadget changes position. If you remove it from your head, the sound of the music will stop. But as soon as you put the headphones back on, the track will immediately start playing again. Very comfortable!

Sound

The technical characteristics of Bluedio T6S on paper look very solid, but an accurate diagnosis can only be made as a result of really listening. For testing, we connected the headphones first to the Pocophone F1 smartphone and then to the MSI Trident 3 personal computer. In both cases, the signal was transmitted using the SBC codec, since aptX does not support this model, alas.

The sound quality left a double impression. Headphones pleased with balanced sound with pronounced low and mid frequencies. High is not enough, but with the help of an equalizer, this disadvantage can be corrected. However, it seemed to us that the sound lacks detail and brightness, which is why the overall picture looks somewhat faded. However, on the powerful, explosive compositions, this feature of the Bluedio T6S is almost not felt. Therefore, we think that most of all they will like fans of rock, metal, and other extreme genres.

The noise reduction system can significantly reduce the level of ambient noise, which can be useful when used in a noisy room or transport. Headphones cope well with the monotonous low-frequency component, such as the hum of engines, the hum of fans and so on. But with a sharp bursts at medium and high frequencies, the noise control can not cope.
