BMC blamed for failure to control "dengue" that claimed the lives of four!
BMC blamed for failure to control

35 year old Jeetendra Lodha lost his wife to dengue after a week long treatment at Kokilaben Dirubhai Hospital. He says that the BMC conducted limited fumigation and no thorough checks done.

After his wife's death the BMC conducted checks at this society and found two breeding grounds. He further states that if there were proper inspections done earlier it would have prevented his wife's death.

Other relatives of patients who have been diagnosed with dengue have also mentioned that the BMC never conducted any sort of inspection. It was only after the death of the patients that made them inspect that particular area or society.

Jeetendra Lodha has now started creating awareness among societies about the breeding grounds.

The BMC officials stated that since they did not have the manpower it was impossible to conduct inspection in about 100 to 150 buildings. Activists called this explanation a lame excuse just to hide their failures.
