BMW Group India, the world's leading automobile manufacturer, sold 2,482 units of BMW and MINI cars in the first quarter of 2020. BMW India has sold 2,365 units and MINI India has sold 117 units. BMW Motorrad has sold 1,024 motorcycles to its customers. BMW has contributed over 50 per cent to the locally produced SUV range including BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X5 and BMW X7. The significant contribution to this has been the BMW 5 Series and BMW 3 Series. As far as the mini range is concerned, the locally produced Countryman has gained more than 60 per cent of the Mini's sales.
