New Delhi: The Supreme court on Tuesday ordered state boards to notify them in their respective plans for evaluation of class XII examinations cancelled within 10 days from today. At the same time, the court has ordered all state boards to declare the results of the internal assessment by July 31.
A bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari passed the order. The court said we are passing general orders for all boards. We order boards to prepare and notify plans within 10 days from today and release the results of internal assessments by July 31, such as CBSE, ICSE. The Supreme court also said that it is not possible for all state boards to make a uniform plan of evaluation.
The court said, 'We are not going to direct the uniform scheme. Every board is different and autonomous. We cannot direct a uniform scheme across the country'. The court was hearing a PIL filed by advocate Anubha Sahai Srivastava seeking cancellation of the State Board Examination (Board Exam 2021) amid the crisis in Corona. But even after the petition was pending, several state boards announced the cancellation of class XII examination. Six states had already conducted class XII examinations.
