Boeing Initiates Production of AH-64E Apaches for Indian Army

NEW DELHIH: Commencing production in Mesa, Arizona, Boeing is embarking on the manufacturing process for the Apaches designated for the Indian Army. A total of six AH-64E Apaches are in line for delivery, effectively fulfilling the specific requisites outlined by the Indian Army.

Earlier this year, the initial AH-64 Apache fuselage for the Indian Army was successfully delivered by Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) from its sophisticated facility located in Hyderabad, India.

Salil Gupte, the President of Boeing India, expressed delight over this pivotal achievement, underscoring Boeing's steadfast dedication to bolstering India's defense capabilities. He emphasized the transformative impact of the AH-64's advanced technology and proven track record on the operational readiness and defense capabilities of the Indian Army.

In the year 2020, Boeing concluded the delivery of 22 AH-64E Apaches to the Indian Air Force, concurrently sealing a contract for the production of six additional AH-64Es for the Indian Army. These Apache helicopters are slated for delivery to the Indian Army's arsenal by the year 2024.

Christina Upah, Vice President of Attack Helicopter Programs and Senior Executive at Boeing Mesa site, accentuated the global eminence of the AH-64E as the premier attack helicopter. She conveyed enthusiasm in equipping the Indian Army with the unparalleled strengths of the AH-64, encompassing both its lethal prowess and exceptional survivability.
