There have been reports of Kartik and actress Ananya Pandey dating each other for some time, the actress quipped when asked about it that it does not bother them and they both laugh at such reports. On Instagram, Ananya shared Kartik's dialogue from the film. Not only Ananya but Janhvi Kapoor were also impressed with the trailer and even took to social media to appreciate it. Meanwhile, the trailer of Love Aaj Kal featured a parallel story, which depicts the double role of Kartik, like Saif Ali Khan appeared in the 2009 film.
