Anurag has decided not to travel with Indigo as well as Air India, Go Air and Spice Jet. It is being told that these four airlines had banned standup comedian Kunal Kamra after an argument with a TV journalist. During an interview, he said, "I will get up at 4 am, but I will not travel with Indigo."

According to the report published in Indian Express, Anurag also inaugurated a film festival in Kolkata. Addressing INVITE, he alleged that, 'Due to the manner in which the incidents are happening, this decision had to be taken. A minister said that Kunal Kamra is not allowed to fly from Air India. He asked other airlines to do the same.
