Actress Leela Mishra, who was said to be the life of Bollywood films, still reigns in the hearts of her fans. Born on January 01, 1908, Leela made her mark in countless Bollywood films. With her acting and beauty, she made headlines several times and presented great abilities on her own performance.

According to media reports, Leela gave more than 200 Bollywood films in her time, and more than half of her films proved to be blockbusters. It is said that in those days, there was a huge shortage of female actresses in the film industries, and even if a female actress was found, her fees was very low. As per reports, Leela Mishra worked in films for just Rs 150.

Leela Mishra had also accepted the proposal to work in the Bollywood film Randy, which was being manufactured by a company owned by the Maharaja of Kolhapur. Apart from this, she also great brilliant performance in film like Sholay. On January 17, 1988, she died of a heart attack in Bombay at the age of 80 years.
