Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday for the long-running Maharashtra Chief Minister. Uddhav is the first person from the Thackeray family and the third from the party to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state. The 59-year-old Uddhav was sworn in as a cabinet minister along with two other leaders of the Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress. Meanwhile, many Bollywood stars have congratulated Uddhav Thackeray.

Shatrughan Sinha, who joined Bollywood Congress and quit the BJP, wrote, 'Uddhav Thackeray, son of Bala Saheb Thackeray to take over the reins of the most expected, awaited and deserving government and our family friend, Maharashtra. Congratulations! Samajwadi Party MP and actress Jaya Bachchan said, 'We have a deep and old relationship with the Thackeray family. I heartily congratulate Uddhav on becoming the Chief Minister. I sincerely hope that Thackeray will work for the betterment of Maharashtra. Especially they should work for the interests of the farmers and provide employment to the youth, this is my desire.
