New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor became emotional when she was being honored with the ANR National Award on his wife Sridevi's gift. In fact, Sridevi was selected for this ANR National Award to be given in the name of Akineni Nageswara Rao, the famous actor and producer of South and Boney Kapoor received the award on Sridevi's gift. Actress Sridevi contributed greatly to Bollywood films as well as South Indian cinema.

Husband Boney Kapoor was addressing people after taking the award in place of Sridevi. During that time Boney Kapoor could not stop his feelings and got emotional and tears were seen from his eyes. After this, the atmosphere of the ceremony also became bleak. After receiving the award, Boney Kapoor shared some memories related to Sridevi's film journey and personal life. During this, Boney Kapoor said, 'I am sure he would feel humble after receiving this award and I accept it politely on his behalf. During this period, along with Sridevi, Rekha was also honored for her contribution to South Cinema and Rekha also mentioned and remembered Sridevi in her speech.

Sridevi made her South Indian debut with the Tamil film Kandal Karunai at the age of 4. He has also done films with many big stars in many big South Indian cinema. Sridevi died in Dubai on 24 February 2018.
