Dhaka: There is chaos in India over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Citizenship Register (NRC). In this case, Major General Shafinul Islam, DG of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) has said that NRC is an internal matter of the Government of India. Shafinul Islam has said that people cross the border due to various reasons to meet families and relatives.
He said that we have not received any Bangladeshi back from India. They have all returned on their own. About 300 people have been caught without documents. Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Shafinul Islam said in a press conference here that the force will continue to stop the entry of illegal people into India.
Giving information, the Border Security Force (BSF) has stated that a BGB delegation led by Islam is on a visit to India from its counterparts at the Director General level border talks. Asked for comment on the NRC issue, he said, "It is entirely an internal matter of the Government of India." Let me tell you that many political parties in India are opposing the NRC, they are demanding it against the Constitution.
