India's 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup team member Boris Singh Thangjam tested positive on Thursday in the Corona investigation. Thus, he is the first player to come positive in active footballers. Twenty-year-old Boris of Imphal played 2 out of 3 matches in the country in the Under-17 World Cup in 2017, which was hosted by India. Now he has been kept in isolation in Manipur.

A close relative of Boris told "Boris tested positive in the Corona investigation, his name has been included in the list of people who have been found positive. He is living in seclusion. Boris is currently in the Indian Super League team ATK Mohun Bagan. The footballer had tied up with ATK in the year 2018, before which he was involved in the All India Football Federation's developmental team Indian Arrows for 2 years".

Boris Singh Thangjam was also a part of the under-20 team of the country, who defeated Argentina two-to-one in the Kotif tournament in Spain in the year 2018.
