Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is reciving rave reviews at the box-office. The film and the performance of the actors has been getting overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and audience. It  has done remarkably well at the box-office for its opening day collections. Despite the fact that it released on a weekday, the film has earned Rs 18.70 crore on opening day.

The noted Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the film through Twitter. He wrote,” #GullyBoy takes a massive start... #ValentineDay - not an official holiday - has given a big boost... Metros are rocking, contribute to superb total... Thu ₹ 18.70 cr [3350 screens]. India biz.”  Film’s opening day collection makes it more pertinent that the film is likely to do exceedingly well at the box-office even with its opening weekend collections.

Zoya Akhtar Musical is based on the life of Mumbai’s street rap artiste, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy. The film is co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar under the banners of Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions. The fans were excited about the film before its release and the excitement of fans was amplified even more after the songs from the movie were released.
