Former world champion female boxer L Sarita Devi has been found infected with COVID-19 virus. On Monday, she got positive in COVID-19 test. However, Sarita was asymptomatic. She showed no symptoms of COVID-19, yet she has been found to be infected with COVID-19. Her husband Thoiba Singh has also been found to be Corona positive.

Similar to Sarita, the symptoms of COVID-19 were not found in husband Thoiba. Thoiba said, "Sarita and I have been found positive. We will go to Covid Care Center in Imphal. No symptoms have been found in both of us. I think we don't have to worry in any way." Thoiba has informed that his son has been found negative in the corona investigation.

Sarita is a gold medal champion of the 5-time Asian Championships and is an Asian Games bronze-winner. The 38-year-old veteran is the second boxer to test positive for the virus after Dingko Singh. Dingko, the gold medal champion of the Asian Games, recovered from the infection after being admitted to the hospital for a month. Sarita is one of the longest-serving and most beautiful women boxers in the country. She became a world winner at the 2006 edition and won two bronze medals in later editions. She has achieved many achievements in her life.
