Jaspal Rana, the Chief Coach of the Junior Indian Pistol Team, will receive the Dronacharya title of this year for Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhakar, who have received the Olympic quota. Rana did not get the title last year but there was a lot of controversies, and this case reached the court. Along with Rana, 91-year-old Naresh Kumar was the captain of the Davis Cup team and coach of the former hockey captain and junior men's hockey team. Judd Phyllis has also been requested for Dronacharya.

The award committee has requested 15 names for Dhyanchand title and 13 for Dronacharya, keeping in mind the maximum number of applications received in COVID-19 on Monday. This time the committee has requested such names, who have either gone to court or are applying for the award for a long time. In addition to Jaspal and Jud, eight names for Life Time Dronacharya and five for regular Dronacharya, the names of Wushu coach Kuldeep Handu, Para-Badminton coach Gaurav Khanna and Malkhamb coach Yogesh Malviya have been appealed.

For the lifetime, Archery coach Dharmendra Tiwari, boxing coach Shiv Singh, wrestling coach OP Singh and Purshottam Roy, who were coaches of Ashwani Nachappa and Roja Kutty are the main ones. Swimmer Sachin Nag, who won the gold medal in the 1951 East Asian Games in Delhi, was also remembered at the same time. His son Ashok Nag had been struggling to get his father's title for a long time. This time his name has been posthumously for Dhyanchand. He is now very happy about this title.
