Box-office collection: India's Most Wanted witness a huge jump at BO, earns Rs 5.13 crore

Arjun Kapoor starrer India’s Most Wanted has released on Friday and reciving mixed reviews from the audience. On day 1, IMW had opened to just Rs 2.10 crore, even less than Vivek Oberoi’s controversial film PM Narendra Modi.  The film took a huge jump on day 2. The thriller-drama took a 44.29 per cent jump on its second day taking the total earnings to Rs 5. 13 crore. However, the film made Rs 3.03 crore on day 2, which by opening day numbers of the film, was a huge jump.

Noted Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote,  “#IndiasMostWanted witnessed 44.29% growth on Day 2, but, ideally, the biz should’ve doubled since Day 1 was extremely low... Needs to cover lost ground on Day 3 [today]... Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 3.03 cr. Total: ₹ 5.13 cr. India biz. #IMW,”.

According to Taran, the film needs to do even better than that. Strangely enough, the film had received majority of positive reviews and even the who’s who of Bollywood has praised Arjun Kapoor’s performance and the film overall. Yet, there seems to be a lack of interest among fans to go check out the movie in theatres.
