Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Raksha Bandhan is in major trouble. Boycott  Rakshabandhan is trending on Twitter because of the co-writer Kanika Dhillion’s controversial old tweets on gau mat and Hizab controversy.

Kanika Dhillion in his earlier tweets criticizes the government and wrote “Dying in the parking lot after waiting for a hospital bed…Yeh aache din hai! India super power hai! Aur gau mata ka mutra peene see Covid chala jayega (These are the good days…India is a super power. And drinking cow’s urine will cure Covid-19).”

Kanika also mocked the belief of Hindu over Gaumata. She wrote, “Hmm you think one day the cows of India will also be contesting elections? Since they offer more solutions- benefits and protection than our Ministers! Holy cow! Jai Gaiyaa Mayya ki!” 

One of her most controversial tweet is her comment on Hisjab issue and called it Hindu Phobia, She tweeted, This one women taking on a group of jai shri ramspouting hooligans make me proud o the woman standing up 2 these men alone!Bt deeply worried ths r college campuses, focused on education suddenly it’s about saffron gamchas n black hijaabs?!

Trolls on Twitter

One user wrote, “Kanika Dhillon's anti-India & anti-Hindu tweets. She is the writer of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Raksha Bandhan. What should we do with this movie #RakshaBandhan? #BoycottRakshaBandhanMovie."

Another wrote, “You are against Hindus tradition & also working on a movie called #RakshaBandhan You basically wants Hindu tradition money but hate Hindus tradition,"
