Mangalagiri: TDP MLC Mantena Satyanarayana Raju said, the ruling YSRCP mafia is buying paddy from farmers at cheap prices and is being sold in black market under the guise of mill owners. There was a rice scam of over Rs 4,000 crore under the nose of Minister Kodali Nani. After looting liquor, sand and mining, he has now set his eyes on the rice of the poor. They were exploiting the BPT farmers badly. They were buying substandard rice given to the ration shops and selling it to the Civil Supplies Department.
Satyanarayana Raju said that when the rice scam came to the public, mafia gangs were bringing rice from Telangana and other states at night to hide their scams. As expected, Minister Kodali Nani is not responding to this fraud ever since it came to light. The leaders of the ruling party were doing these irregularities of rice in the name of levy through Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs).
Raju termed it unfortunate that Minister Kodali Nani is missing for the last 20 days without giving any explanation on the rice scam. The TDP leader demanded the minister to explain what type of food grains were procured from different places in the state. He should clarify on whether the government has actually procured 40 lakh tonnes through RBK during this Rabi season. He asked why Kodali Nani, Dwarampudi Bhaskar Reddy and Minister Sriranganatha Raju were silent on the scam. TDP will intensify its agitation to expose the scams of YSRCP agents and middlemen.
