A few days ago Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan, and Liger have called for a Boycott for different reasons which directly affected their Box office and Now Brahmastra film has found itself in the same controversy for all the wrong reasons. Some people are boycotting Brahmastra for Alia Bhatt’s recent statement,  and now a 10-year-old video clip of Ranbir Kapoor is going viral and it sparked the Boycott trends.
In the video, Ranbir Kapoor talking about his love for beef has been shared by a Twitter user and sharing the video the person wrote, “Shiva of #Brahmastra in real life. #BoycottBrahmastra.” Ranbir Kapoor said, "I am a big beef guy," when he was promoting his 2011 film 'Rockstar'.

As soon as the video went viral several people started commenting on it. It was followed by a big number of comments agreeing to boycott the film over his food choice. However, some of his fans have also supported Ranbir saying his choice of food should not matter to others and this is no reason to Boycott the film.

In an recent interview Alia Bhatt's 'if you don't like me, don't watch me,' statement and Ranbir Kapoor's comment plus the hate online against him led to Brahmastra making news for all the wrong reasons.
Speaking of Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles and is a fantasy adventure film that draws heavily from mythology. It is slated for release on August 9.
