The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has given this information. According to the foreign media report, the CBF president and club representatives have set a temporary date of August 9 to start the country's top league.

At the same time, Serie-A was to be started but it was stopped due to coronavirus epidemic. Apart from this, Serie-B is to begin from August 8. According to a statement, this decision was taken in a meeting organized by CBF on Thursday night. 40 clubs attended the meeting.

According to the CBF, if the government does not remove the temporary ban on competitive sports, then 20 clubs of the league are ready to play matches outside their city. The statement said that the withdrawal of football will depend on the decision of the health authorities.
