Mumbai-Maharashtra:: Veteran Actor Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, best known for her role in the popular Television show 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', died in  a car accident.

The shocking news was shared by producer J.D Majethia. In a post on Instagram Story, he conveyed that the mishap took place in North India.

"Dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as 'Jasmine' of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. Life is so unpredictable, A very fine actress,  Vaibhavi Upadhyay met with an accident in the north. The family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites. Rest In Peace Vaibhavi ," reads JD Majethia's post.

Vaibhavi had also worked alongside Deepika Padukone in 'Chhapaak' film in 2020 and 'Timir' (2023). The shockingnews of Vaibhavi's demise comes a few days after actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment in Andheri, Mumbai on May 22.

A Brief on Vaibhavi Upadhyaya:  Upadhyaya was a known face both on the small screen and also the Gujarati theatre circles. Apart from 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', Upadhyaya also starred in cult sitcoms such as 'CID' 'Adaalat', 'Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka' and so on. Upadhyaya also featured in the 2020 Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Chhapaak' and the web series. '
