In a dramatic incident that captured attention, the Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express caught on a fire mishap during the early hours of Monday. Initial reports indicate that the battery box of the Vande Bharat Express caught fire, but the situation was swiftly brought under control at approximately 7:58 am.

At the time of the incident, there were around 20-22 passengers aboard the affected coach. Immediate action was taken to transfer them to other coaches, ensuring their safety, as confirmed by an official to PTI. The unfortunate occurrence took place near Kurwai Kethora station in Madhya Pradesh, moments before the train was scheduled to arrive at Bina railway station.

It has been reported that railway staff members noticed the fire originating from the battery box of the C-12 coach around 6:45 am. Promptly responding to the situation, the Rani Kamalapati-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat train was immediately halted between Kurwai and Kaithora stations in Vidisha district.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fire was contained within the box itself, according to Indian Railways. The train is expected to resume its journey soon.
