Bollywood film actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra and his IT head Ryan Thorpe were detained for making movies. Raj Kundra was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the court on Tuesday. Now his bail application has also been rejected. According to information received, the Esplanade court in Mumbai has rejected the bail plea of Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe.
In a hearing on Tuesday, the crime branch told the court that several important shreds of evidence have been recovered from Raj's house. Several electronic pieces of evidence have been recovered. A forensic expert was appointed for the same. With the help of which the data is being recovered. Hard disks and mobiles have been recovered from Raj's house. 1.13 crore 64,886 from Apple when hotshots of criminals were being shown on iOS. The bank accounts in which the money was deposited have been seized from Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, and other bank accounts. Some absconding criminals are currently being traced.
The Bombay high court had heard the bail of the same Raj Kundra on Tuesday. According to reports, even the High Court is not in a mood to grant bail to Raj. The court had asked the Mumbai Police to file a reply after which the hearing will be held in the Bombay High Court on July 29.
