Ujjain: A man was stabbed to death at Kartik Mela in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday night. Some of the men present at the fair were molesting the young man's cousin sister. When the man resisted, the criminals attacked him with a knife. He died on the spot.

On receiving the news of the incident, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem, and started investigating the matter. The persons present at the spot told the police that the number of attackers was 20 to 25. Deepu (22), a resident of Agra, had come to meet aunt Kantabai, who lives in Budhwariya. Due to this, other relatives also came to the family on the birthday of a child. On Tuesday night, everyone in the family went to visit the Kartik Mela.  

At the same time, some boys molested a young girl of the family while commenting on the boat swing here. Deepu stopped them from misbehaving and a fight started. Around 20 to 25 boys attacked Deepu and stabbed him to death in the chest with a knife. Mahakal police station Munendra Gautam says that 5 criminals have been arrested. The search for others is underway, soon they will also be caught. After this incident, there is mourning in the family of the deceased. Ujjain's Kartik Mela is popular all over Madhya Pradesh and lasts for about 1 month.
