BSE to auction asset restrictions for Rs 4,818-cr govt bonds

BSE will tomorrow sale investment limits for abroad investors for the buy of government debt securities worth Rs 4,818 crore.

The auction will be carries out on BSE's e-bidxchange platform, from 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM, later than the close of market hours.

The debt auction share gives abroad investors the right to invest in the debt, up to the limit buy.

BSE said, “live bidding session for debt investment limits for FPIs will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2016, on exchange's 'e-bidxchange' platform.”

In previous auctions, government bonds have been subscribed many times, given the large interest among the foreign investors.

An auction of government money owing securities conducted on April 4, had involved bids value Rs 6,096 crore from Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) beside Rs 8,541 crore put on tender.

To increase inflows of foreign funds, the boundary for abroad investors in central government was raised to Rs 1.4 lakh crore from April 4 and it will be further improved to Rs 1.44 lakh crore from July 5. Prior, the limit was Rs 1,35,400 crore.
