However, Bihar Board matriculation examination has started from Monday, 17 February 2020. On the first day, Bihar Board matriculation candidates took the science subject examination.

At present, the Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) has not made any official confirmation in this regard. While the matriculation examination has started from Monday, on the other hand, about 4.5 lakh teachers working on contract in Bihar government schools have gone on strike. Along with this, these teachers are demanding equal pay and service conditions as per permanent teachers. Currently, the board and the government have said that the board examination will not be affected by the teachers going on strike. Alternative arrangements have been made for this.
