Muzaffarpur: BSF Deputy Commandant Maruti Sharan and his car driver have also lost their lives in a major road accident in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. It is learnt that the deputy commandant's car was hit hard from behind by the truck after which his car rammed into a parked bus in front, the collision was so dangerous that the rags of the deputy commandant's car were blown away. The incident took place at NH 57 at Garha in Ahiyapur police station area. After the incident, a huge crowd of villagers gathered at the spot and a Hirapur police station reached there to remove it.

It has been revealed that 8 people on board the bus were also injured in the incident. Police have seized the bus but the driver fled with the truck after executing the incident. The work of sending the passengers on the bus to their homes by other trains is being carried out. Deputy Commandant had left for Kishanganj via Muzaffarpur in his duster car. He was posted in Kishanganj itself. His car was dodged and hit by a truck. The car was unbalanced by the truck and came in front of a bus in the other lane after which the bus also hit the car from behind, causing the car to fly away. The bus was reportedly on its way to Delhi from Supaul which has been seized by the police while the truck has fled. Ahiyapur Saheb Sunil Kumar Rajak said the driver of the car Dilip Kumar died on the spot while Commandant Pandey was injured at the time of the incident.

He was sent to SKMCH Hospital in the city in Anan-Phanan but doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. After the incident, a huge crowd gathered on the road. Police are seizing the bus and sending all the passengers to their homes by other trains. Supaul's female passenger Jyoti, who was on the bus, said it was not the fault of the bus driver. The car was going to the wrong side and suddenly it came in front of the bus. The driver tried hard to save but eventually the car collided with the bus. Jyoti said the passengers were made to sit by overloading the bus.
