Five of the 10 Bangladeshis arrested while attempting to enter India illegally from the Behar district of West Bengal have been handed over to border guard Bangladesh. BSF officials said five Bangladeshis were handed over to BGB on Saturday evening after proper verification. He said the 192nd Battalion of Guwahati Frontier in BSF had apprehended 10 Bangladeshi persons including five children, four women, and a man near Sabri border post in the city last evening.

The same BSF said that the remaining five Bangladeshi people have been handed over to the local police of Behar for further action. A paramilitary officer had said on Saturday, The Border Security Force (BSF) detained 10 Bangladeshis trying to illegally enter India from the Behar district of West Bengal. He had said, "The 192nd Battalion of BSF has detained Bangladeshis including five children, four women and a man under Guwahati Frontier near Sabri border post in the district.''

The officer had said that all the arrested persons are residents of the Kurigram district of Bangladesh and are adult migrant laborers. "Operating 24×7 with effective border management and difficult challenges, the 192nd Battalion of BSF under Guwahati Frontier has apprehended 10 Bangladeshi people trying to cross the International Border illegally along the Indo-Bangladesh border," BSF tweeted.
