New Delhi: Last year, the "Transgender Protection Act" was enacted to promote the transgender community in society. For this reason, officials of the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Sashastra Seema Bal had told the Union Home Ministry on Friday that this year, transgender people will be recruited to the cadre assistant commander post.

Director-General AP Maheshwari said, "CRPF already has a gender-neutral work environment, we will try to meet the MHA guidelines as per our requirements." Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) chief SS Deswal, who is the director-general of the Border Security Force (BSF), said, "We have no objection. We will discuss this with the Paramilitary Force." The ITBP and the Central Industrial Security Force said that in this regard, it will be discussed in the coming days.

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday asked the Central Paramilitary Force (CAPF) to include the third gender category in the recruitment application to be held in December. The comments made by the Central Paramilitary Force on this matter will be shared with the Union Public Service Commission according to which the exam will be conducted.
