After Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea, the wait for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) 4G and 5G services in India is about to end. BSNL has officially confirmed the rollout of its 5G services. According to Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, BSNL's 5G services will likely start in 2025.

When will BSNL 5G service start?

According to a report by The Hindu, BSNL Andhra Pradesh Principal General Manager L. Srinu told a press conference that BSNL is preparing to launch its 5G services by 2025. Currently, the company is doing some necessary work, such as upgrading towers and other equipment, so that the rollout of 5G can be done as soon as possible.

Mission 2025 of BSNL

Currently, BSNL is installing 4G sites across the country, which will be upgraded to 5G by the year 2025. BSNL aims to install 100,000 sites by mid-2025. So far, 39,000 sites have been installed. BSNL will be the first operator in the country to implement both indigenous 4G and 5G. Currently, BSNL's services are undergoing testing period.

Importance of 700 MHz Premium Band

BSNL and Reliance Jio are the only two telecom companies that have access to the 700 MHz premium band. This band provides better coverage. At the same time, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have decided not to adopt it due to high cost.

What will happen to BSNL's 5G?

BSNL's 5G network will be based on 3.6 GHz and 700 MHz frequency bands. It will provide better service to users with new technological advancements. After successful testing of this network, BSNL is now planning its rollout.

Benefits for customers

BSNL's 5G services will provide customers with faster internet speeds, better connectivity, and high-quality calls. Along with this, BSNL aims to expand 5G services to remote areas of the country as well, so that people can get internet access everywhere. Thus, BSNL 5G services are going to bring a new revolution in the Indian telecom market, and customers are eagerly waiting for it. This move of BSNL will not only help in technological development, but it will also take forward the country's Digital India mission.
