Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has now entered the world of TV. BSNL has launched its new app 'BSNL Live TV'. Currently, this app is available for Android TV and can be downloaded from Google Play Store. However, complete information about all the features of this app has not been revealed yet.

According to media reports, this app has been published by WeConnect. Internet, cable TV, and landline telephone services can be used through BSNL Live TV app single CPE (Customer Premises Equipment). It can be operated through an Android based system. In February this year, BSNL launched Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service through fiber. The starting price of this service has been kept at Rs 130 per month. The special thing is that this service on Android TV works even without a set-top box. This can give BSNL a chance to compete with companies like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio.

BSNL's 5G service: Target to launch next year

BSNL's next big goal is to launch 5G network across the country by the first half of next year. Recently, Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that BSNL has built more than 15,000 4G sites under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign. The company is ready to convert these sites to 5G soon. Recently, the Department of Telecom (DoT) also shared a picture of a 5G SIM card, which indicates that 5G service can be launched soon. Apart from this, BSNL is also trying to improve the network problems rapidly. BSNL's new efforts are not only bringing new options in the world of TV, but can also prove to be an important step towards providing better and faster internet service through 5G network.
