Mayawati said that the party stands on its stand taken towards the Citizenship Amendment Bill (NRC), which has positive discussion among people. He said that the incidents of persistent harassment of women, especially rape, murder and death by burning them in the entire country, including UP, are worrying and there is a need to take preventive measures immediately.

Mayawati said that along with poverty, unemployment, inflation, women's insecurity and poor crime-control, there is a need for the Central and State Government to work together seriously on the issues of national interest.
