BTS’ Jin attends tennis player Casper Ruud’s debut match at Korea Open

The vocalist for BTS, Jin, was seen at the Korea Open on September 29 to see Casper Ruud's debut match against Nicolas Jarry. Casper Ruud, who was playing in Seoul for the first time, won the game 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, and many spectators at the time recognised Jin. "Casper got a new fan," read a tweet from the ATP Tour mentioning the member of BTS.

An annual badminton competition known as the Korea Open is frequently played in Seoul, South Korea. Due to its transformation into a BWF Super Series event starting in 2007, the competition was formerly known as the Korea Open Super Series. Since 2018, BWF has included the Korea Open as one of the seven BWF World Tour Super 500 competitions.

Casper Ruud, a professional tennis player from Norway, was born on December 22, 1998. Casper Ruud is the highest-ranked tennis player from Norway in history thanks to his career-high singles rating of No. 2 on September 12, 2022. He has nine singles ATP Tour victories. He is the first Norwegian male to ever win an ATP singles championship, advance to a Masters 1000 final, reach a major final (at the 2022 French and the US Opens), and join the top 20 in the ATP rankings.

Tennis is Jin's favourite sport, and he routinely receives instruction from a well-known Korean tennis teacher. Jin has consistently demonstrated an appreciation for a variety of sports, including golf and tennis.

Suga, another member who was seen cheering on a team, travelled to Japan to meet Stephen Curry. When Suga, a basketball enthusiast, visited the training facility in Tokyo, Japan, where Golden State is working out for the preseason, he had the opportunity to meet Stephen Curry. Suga was the NBA Finals MVP the previous season. Curry spoke with Suga in a video that the Golden State Club shared on Twitter on September 30, "It's nice to meet you. My family members are your fans.” Suga responded, “It’s an honor to meet you.”
