Left and Right, Jungkook and Charlie Puth's most recent joint single, has spent nine weeks straight at the top of the Hot AC and Top 40 radio charts in the United States. On both of the AT40 charts, the song is currently at number 14. He now holds the distinction of becoming the first soloist from Korea and K-Pop to do so.

BTS member Jungkook, pop sensations Charlie Puth, Harry Styles, and Bad Bunny are a few examples of solo artists with more than 6 million premiere streams on the Spotify global chart in 2022. Five people altogether took the stage, including Grammy Music Award-nominated hip-hop artist Jack Harlow.

Jungkook in particular stood out as a global vocalist because he was the only Asian solo artist among them to be mentioned. In addition, as of last June, Jungkook released two singles, "Left and Right," and a solo song, "Stay Alive," which debuted at number three on the Spotify Global Chart, the highest debut among Asian solo artists.

As of September 20, "Left And Right" was placed 26th on the Spotify global chart and spent 89 consecutive days in the top 35. When it was first published on June 24, "Left And Right" amassed a massive streaming audience of over 6.7 million and peaked at number three on the Spotify global chart.

With "Left And Right," Jungkook sold 500,000 copies in the US, making him the first K-pop soloist to do so. He also made history by becoming the "first" K-pop idol to spend 12 weeks straight at No. 1 on the US Billboard "Hot 100" list.
