The move comes amid rumors of a big hit going public and an IPO in the coming months. The company says that "Pladys, which was founded in 2007 by CEO Han Sung Soo, will maintain the independence of its label despite the move receiving support from Big Hit. Its performers are expected to play a greater role in overseas markets based on Big Hit's global network and platform technologies, whose potential has been proven by the global success of BTS."
