New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Sitharaman is presenting the budget in Parliament today. Nirmala Sitharaman said that this budget will give India the foundation for the coming 25 years. Economic growth is expected to be 9.2 per cent in the next financial year. He said India's economic growth in the current year is expected to be 9.2 per cent, the highest among the large economies. Finance Minister Sitharaman said that the disinvestment of Air India has been completed and the IPO of LIC will now come soon.

The Finance Minister said that farmers, youth will be benefited from the budget. 16 lakh youth will be provided jobs from self-reliant India. Sitharaman said 400 new Vande Bharat trains will be built in the next three years. With this, 100 PM speed power cargo terminals will be built in the next three years. At the same time, 8 new ropeways will be constructed. Sitharaman said the length of the national highway will be increased to 25,000 km between 2022-23. The mountain ranges of hilly areas will be brought on PPP modes. He said the state governments will be encouraged to include forming courses in their syllabus. 

He said natural farming will be encouraged in the Ganga corridor (5 km wide corridor). At the same time, small industries (MSMEs) will be given assistance from the credit guarantee scheme. He said the railways will create new products and efficient logistics services for small farmers and small and medium enterprises. The Finance Minister said that there has been a lot of loss of studies during the corona epidemic. He said that one class one TV channel will be increased from 12 to 200 TV channels. In addition, a digital university will be set up. At the same time, the National Telemanental Health Program for Mental Problems will also be launched.

In 2022-23, 80 lakh houses will be constructed under the PM Awas Yojana. A fund of 48,000 crore has been earmarked for them. In the Budget 2022, it has been announced that the plan for the development of the North East will be launched. This will improve the quality of life of the people there. The technology will also be used in farming. Farmer drones will be used. This will lead to crop assessment, land records, spraying of pesticides. From 2022-23, e-passports will start being issued, which will increase the facilities for citizens. He said that the scheme will be brought for the launch of 5G. Internet will be provided to all the villages and people. He said that from this financial year, 5G services will be started,  a self-reliant India in the defence sector will be promoted, 68 per cent of the total procurement budget will be spent on procurement from the domestic market. This will reduce the fear on the import of defence equipment. This is 58% higher than the previous fiscal year.
