New Delhi. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached at the Ministry of Finance here on Tuesday morning, ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget. Finance Ministry of State Pankaj Chaudhary and Bhagwat Karad both reached the Finance Ministry.
Around 11 a.m., the Finance Minister will deliver his address, which will kick off the Budget presentation.
The parliament's Budget Session began on January 31 with President Ram Nath Kovind's address. The first part of Parliament's Budget Session will take place from January 31 to February 11 and the second part from March 14 to April 8.
This is the Modi government's tenth Union Budget, and the second to be presented in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Nirmala Sitharaman is the Finance Minister of India for the fourth time. People from all walks of life -- salaried, middle-class, and industrialists—expect tax breaks, lower gasoline and diesel prices, universal access to education, and an increase in the 80C deduction ceiling, among other things.
