Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the youth-centric nature of the interim budget 2024, stating that the government plans to allocate over Rs. 11 lakh crore towards enhancing rail, road, and modern infrastructure, during a virtual address at the inauguration of Pali Sansad Khel Mahakumbh. The event, hosted by BJP MP PP Chaudhary from Pali, witnessed the Prime Minister's remarks.
"The current budget is a testament to our commitment to the youth of the nation. With over Rs. 11 lakh crore earmarked for rail, road, and modern infrastructure development, our youth will be the primary beneficiaries," PM Modi expressed.
Highlighting the significance of infrastructure to the youth, PM Modi noted, "Who desires good roads the most? Our youth... With India investing heavily in modern infrastructure, numerous new employment opportunities will emerge for our young population."
Underlining the BJP's dedication to youth welfare, PM Modi mentioned the considerable increase in the sports budget over the past decade, both at the state and central levels.
"BJP-led governments, whether at the state or central level, accord top priority to youth welfare. Through initiatives like the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) and 'Khelo India,' we're providing extensive support to aspiring athletes, facilitating their training and development," the Prime Minister elaborated.
PM Modi also stressed the role of sports in steering youth away from harmful addictions, enhancing their willpower, concentration, and overall personality development.
"Sports not only instill a winning mindset but also inspire continuous self-improvement. They act as a shield against various vices, fostering discipline and focus. Our recent budget on February 1 reaffirms our unwavering commitment to the nation's youth," PM Modi reiterated.
