New Delhi: The Opposition today, February 3, gave the Suspension of Business Notice for Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, demanding a discussion on the Hindenburg report on the Adani Group.

Tiruchi Siva, a member of the DMK in the Rajya Sabha, gave a notice of suspension of business under rule 267 to discuss "The negative impact of the business activities of the Adani group on India economically and ethically."
The Suspension of Business Notice according to Rule 267 was also given in the Rajya Sabha by Congress MP Pramod Tiwari to debate "the subject of fraud in investment by LIC, SBI, Public Sector Banks and Other Financial Institutions losing market value."

The leaders of the opposition parties will meet on Friday in the parliamentary office of Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge.

Jairam Ramesh, a Congress member, tweeted on Friday morning that "To coordinate tactics, floor leaders of the opposition parties would gather in LoP Mallikarjun Kharge's chamber in Parliament. The only thing that will stop LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India), SBI (State Bank of India), and other organisations from being pushed by the Prime Minister to invest in the Adani Group is an independent probe."

Other Rajya Sabha leaders who sent the warning were MPs Amee Yajnik, Neeraj Dangi, and Kumar Ketkar. Nama Nageshwar Rao, a Lok Sabha member, also announced the suspension of business for the chamber and urged that the Hindenburg report be discussed.

After the Opposition made a scene and requested a discussion on the Hindenburg report on the Adani conglomerate, both houses of Parliament were suspended for the day yesterday.

On Thursday, the leaders of the opposition requested that the Hindenburg report against Adani Enterprises be discussed and that a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) be established to investigate the alleged irregularites.
