Bandra: A major accident has taken place in the area at Shastri Nagar in Mumbai's Bandra. A G+2 building collapsed at around 12:15 p.m. There was an uproar in the entire area after the accident. Locals informed the police and administration about the accident. Police, who rushed to the spot, launched a rescue operation and the injured persons were admitted to Bandra Bhabha Hospital.
DCP Manjunath Singe of Mumbai Police said that all the people on the ground floor are safe in the accident, there were six persons on the first floor who sustained minor injuries. There were 17 people on the second floor, of which 16 people were injured, who are undergoing treatment, and 1 person has died. Dr Purva, AMO of Bandra Bhabha Hospital, said a total of 19 persons were admitted to the hospital, out of which one was dead and 17 injured persons have been discharged. One person is still admitted to the hospital.
